Please become a volunteer; No experience necessary!
The National Shell Museum could not support all of the educational and research programs we do without our amazing volunteers. In addition to learning more about the fascinating world of shells, our volunteers get many perks for offering their time and talents to the Shell Museum.
Available volunteer opportunities are Exhibit Docent in the Great Hall of Shells, an Education Docent to lead and participate in our student or adult tour programs, a Store Docent, or as a Clerical Assistant as needed. Most volunteer positions require a commitment of at least 1/2 day per week, for at least 3 months.
We also invite students in grades 6-12 to spend time at our Museum as an Exhibit Junior Docent in the Great Hall of Shells. We require a commitment of at least 1 day per week, for at least 3 months.
