This week, at the 2025 Annual Conference of the Association of Zoos & Aquariums in Tampa, Florida, aquarists Carly Hulse and Claire D’Agostino presented work done at the National Shell Museum & Aquarium on the presence of imposex in the Horse Conch (Triplofusus giganteus). Imposex is an irreversible disorder in female marine snails caused by contact with detrimental compounds present in boat antifouling paints. The research was published earlier this year in the Bulletin of Marine Science. Check out the poster here and read the short research article here.
