What are the benefits of becoming a member?

How do I renew my membership?
We will mail you a notice and a renewal envelope one month before your membership expires. If you haven't gotten one, please call our membership department at 239-347-5119.
How many names can I put on a membership card?
Up to 6 names: 2 adults and 4 children. Children must be under the age of 18 and live in the same household as one of the adults on the card.
When will I get my membership card?
You will receive your membership card within 10 business days of purchase.
How many membership cards will I receive?
You will receive one membership card initially. One more can be created/sent upon request.
How do I receive updates on events and activities at the Museum?
You can stay up-to-date on all Museum happenings by signing up for our email list or following us on Facebook.
Can I transfer my membership to someone else?
No, memberships are non-transferable.
Can I purchase a gift membership for a family member or friend?
Yes! Contact our membership department at 239-347-5119 or email membership@shellmuseum.org for assistance.
What if I lose my membership card?
Call our membership department at 239-347-5119 or email membership@shellmuseum.org and we will issue you a replacement card.
Does my membership card get me into any other museums?
Yes! If you have a Golden Olive Membership or higher, you will have reciprocal membership in the North American Reciprocal Museums Program (NARM). Click for the complete list of 1,300 museums and attractions in the NARM network.

Is my membership payment tax deductible?
Yes. You can deduct Museum membership fees. We are under the 501(c)(3) guidelines to accept donations.
