Precious Cardiomya
Shell size to 8 mm; shell delicate, thin, oval but with posterior end prolonged into a narrow canal-like expansion. Shell sculpture of 4-5 radial, widely separated curved ridges concentrated on central part of shell, and thin concentric lines. This species was until recently known as Cardiomya gemma A.E. Verrill & Bush, 1898.
